Trace-Eye-D

This product line exists to solve real-world threats without putting people in harm’s way. Trace-Eye-D empowers law enforcement, corrections, schools, and the military to detect drugs and explosive materials faster, safer, and more affordably—directly in the field. These wipes deliver instant, real-time identification so professionals can act with confidence, not risk.

An Entire Brand Eco-System

The Challenge

Building this brand meant entering a highly regulated, high-stakes space with zero margin for confusion or error. Trace-Eye-D was new to the drug and explosive detection category with an innovative product that crushed their compeitors, which required more than just branding, it demanded the creation of an entire product ecosystem from the ground up. From designing a credible, authoritative brand to developing clear, educational packaging, every decision had to inspire trust while avoiding misinterpretation. These were not “drug products,” but tools for safety and detection and the packaging had to communicate that instantly.

At the same time, the work extended far beyond design. The product line had to be engineered to run seamlessly on newly built manufacturing equipment, with pouch structures sized precisely to fit the machines, protect the wipes, and scale efficiently. Pack counts, material choices, and configurations were strategically planned to meet strict customer pricing requirements while remaining practical for distribution and field use.

The challenge was solved by bringing me in to bridge brand strategy, packaging design, manufacturing realities, and go-to-market execution. My role was to ensure the product wasn’t just well designed, but fully manufacturable, scalable, compliant, and instantly understood by the professionals who rely on it in real-world, high-risk environments.

Inspiration Behind The Rebrand

The Solution

The solution was an end-to-end build that connected brand strategy, packaging, manufacturing, and distribution into one cohesive system. Every decision was made to ensure clarity, scalability, and trust so the product performed just as well in the field as it did on the production line. The result was a credible, efficient product line designed to meet real-world demands.

  • Desided to design pouches becuase they were easier for on-the-go situations.

  • Created two product line strategies and packaging for Drug Wipes and Explosives. Both visually different but cohesive for two different target audiences

  • Created clear, educational packaging that eliminated misinterpretation and reinforced that these are safety and detection tools, not drug or explosive products

  • Established visual and messaging systems that communicate purpose and usage instantly, even in high-pressure, real-world scenarios

  • Created a QR code system on every package that took the consumer directly to the video to show how its used.

  • Engineered the product line to run seamlessly on newly built manufacturing equipment

  • Developed pouch structures precisely sized to fit machines, protect the wipes, and support efficient scale

  • Strategically planned pack counts, materials, and configurations to meet strict customer pricing targets

  • Balanced manufacturing efficiency with real-world distribution needs and field usability

  • Developed an Amazon store front that allowed everyday people to purchase wipes for their homes.

  • Developed the website Fentanyl Awarness Page and UX Design
